This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use oSold (the “Service”), and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

oSold is an offline-first mobile POS / sales application provided by omemo. We design the Service so that your business data stays on your devices. By using the Service, you agree to the handling of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Collecting and Using Your Data

What We Intentionally Do Not Collect

oSold does not require an omemo account. We do not create user accounts, and we do not collect your sales behavior data (such as transaction details, revenue metrics, or product catalogs) for analytics, advertising, or product marketing.

Sales Data (Stored on Your Device / Personal iCloud)

Sales Data you create in oSold is stored by default in local storage on your Device. If you enable Apple iCloud sync, that data may sync across your Devices through your personal Apple ID. That sync is handled by Apple’s iCloud service; omemo does not operate its own cloud servers for storing your Sales Data and cannot access the contents of your personal iCloud.

Usage and Diagnostic Information

When you use the Service, Apple or the operating system may, depending on system settings and your choices, generate limited technical or diagnostic information (for example crash reports, device type, or OS version). We do not collect analytics through oSold for profiling you or tracking sales behavior. If you share diagnostics with Apple through the App Store or device settings, that information is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

Contact Information You Choose to Provide

If you contact us by email, website contact form, or another channel, we may receive the name, email address, and message content you provide, and use it only to respond to and manage your request.

How We Use Information

Where applicable, we may use information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve oSold (for example fixing bugs or improving stability).
  • Respond to support or contact requests you send us.
  • Comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements and policies.
  • Evaluate or carry out a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, if applicable.

We do not sell your Personal Data, and we do not use your Sales Data for advertising targeting.

Sharing of Information

We may share information only in these situations:

  • Service Providers: only as reasonably necessary to operate the Service (for example website hosting or email infrastructure), and subject to obligations consistent with this Policy.
  • Legal requirements: when required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
  • Business transfers: if the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be among the transferred assets. We will take reasonable steps to notify you before Personal Data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
  • With your consent: for any other purpose with your consent.

Data synced through iCloud between your Devices is processed by Apple under Apple’s terms and privacy policy, not hosted by omemo.

Retention

Sales Data remains under your control: it stays on your Device and, if enabled, in your personal iCloud until you delete app data, uninstall the Application, or remove it through system / iCloud settings. We retain contact information you voluntarily send us only as long as needed to respond to support requests or meet legal obligations.

Transfer of Data

If you contact us or use our website, related information may be processed in Taiwan or in other places where parties involved in the processing are located. We will take steps reasonably necessary to ensure that data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Delete Your Data

You can delete or control data by:

  • Deleting products, transactions, or other content inside oSold.
  • Deleting the Application to remove local data on your Device.
  • Managing or deleting related iCloud data through Apple’s settings.
  • Contacting us to request deletion of contact information you previously provided to us for support.

We may need to retain certain information when we have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.

Security

The security of your information matters to us. We use commercially reasonable means to protect information we actually control. Because Sales Data primarily lives on your Device and (optionally) your personal iCloud, device lock, system updates, and Apple account security are important parts of protecting that data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children’s Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from anyone under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that your child has provided us Personal Data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information.

Links to Other Websites

The Service or related sites may contain links to third parties we do not operate (for example the App Store). We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. We encourage you to review their policies.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new Privacy Policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we may also provide notice through the Service or another reasonable method. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
