To sync data across iPhone, iPad, and other devices:

1. Tap More at the bottom → Settings
2. Turn on Sync Sales
3. Repeat on every device that should sync
4. After turning it on, fully quit the app (swipe it away from the app switcher), then reopen — sync starts only after that restart

Notes

• Products, stock, and transactions sync; Held orders stay on the device and do not sync
• Use the same Apple ID (iCloud) and stay online
• The first sync can take a while; under Sync Sales in Settings you can see the sync status

Cross-device sync goes through your iCloud. A sale is saved on the device first, then uploaded to iCloud, and the other device updates after it downloads — usually quick, but not guaranteed at the same second you tap checkout.

Check first

• Sync Sales is on for every device that should sync
• Same Apple ID on every device, and all devices are online

If settings look right but it’s still delayed

Once Sync Sales is already on, new data usually syncs on its own over iCloud — no need to quit the app every time. If it’s slow, try this:

1. Open oSold on the receiving device and keep both devices online
2. In Settings, check the status under Sync Sales, then wait — the first sync or a large catalog can take longer; don’t keep restarting the app
3. Only if nothing changes after waiting a while: fully quit the app (swipe it away) and reopen once

Pick the path for your computer after exporting from iPhone / iPad:

Export on iPhone / iPad first

1. More → Settings → Data Import / Export
2. Open Export and choose what to export
3. Tap Export file
4. In the save sheet, pick Downloads or iCloud Drive

Windows

1. Upload the CSV with Google Drive (or another cloud). Wait until the upload finishes before opening it on the computer.
2. Open and edit it in Google Sheets (less likely to garble text). Keep the header row, then download / save as CSV (comma-separated — not .xlsx).
3. After it syncs back to the cloud, download the file to the iPhone / iPad with Files or the cloud app.
4. Import back into oSold:
   1. Data Import / Export → Import → Product Catalog (or Stock Update Only if you only change stock)
   2. Choose CSV file → review the preview; check any Needs review rows before importing.

Mac (same Apple ID with iCloud Drive)

1. When exporting, save to iCloud Drive.
2. On the Mac, open it from Finder → iCloud Drive, edit in Numbers / Excel, keep the headers, and save as CSV.
3. After sync finishes, import in oSold:
   1. Import → Choose CSV file from iCloud Drive
   2. Confirm the preview, then import.

Download template does not connect to Google — the app creates a blank CSV on the device, then asks where to save it. If saving to Google Drive fails, save locally first, then upload:

1. More → Settings → Data Import / Export → Import → Product Catalog (or Stock Update Only if you only change stock)
2. Tap Download template → save to On My iPhone or Downloads (not Google Drive yet)
3. Open the Google Drive app and upload that CSV
4. Then edit on the computer, download back to the device, and import — same as the Windows steps in the FAQ above

If the device already has products and you want to edit that data, in step 2 use Export → Export file instead — still save locally first, then upload to Google.
